Where we'd book a table tonight

These spots are local gems - delicious, vibe-y, and absolutely worth booking ahead for.

  • Miku (Waterfront) Elevated sushi, on the water. Michelin rated.
  • Dovetail (Yaletown) California inspired cocktails and great vibe.
  • Sawasdee Thai Restaurant  (Main st.) Authentic Thai.
  • Tutto (Yaletown) Italian dishes and great drinks.
  • Andonis (Granville st.) Greek/Mediterranean supper club.
  • Monarca (Gastown) / Barra Gitano (Davie)  Mexican favourites with a great atmosphere by the same group.

Late Nights, Live Music

From buzzing atmospheres to live music and top-notch cocktails, these local spots are a few of our favourites when we're out for a fun night.

  • Fairmont Pacific Rim Lobby Lounge and Raw Bar - Live music (check schedule), great upscale vibe that's popular with business travelers and locals. Bonus - it's walkable from the convention centre!
  • Guilt & Co. Located in Gastown and features live music nightly in a dark and intimate setting. Reservations are not accepted and there is often a line, but it is absolutely worth waiting for. Pro Tip: Bring your gov't ID as they will need to scan at the door.
  • The Shameful Tiki Room - This is one of the most unique bars in Vancouver. It is just what it claims to be, a tiki bar with all the quirky vintage kitch and fun cocktails you'd expect. The entertainment here is always rotating so check their socials for the latest.

Casual Spots & Quick Bites

Great Spots for Exploring Outside

  • Seawall Bike Ride - Rent a bike and get out on the seawall. The best way to explore Vancouver is on a bike, key stops like Stanley Park are a must.
  • Quarry Rock Hike - Ride share or drive to the Deep Cove area of North Vancouver for a spectacular view at the top.
  • Grouse Mountain - Take the gondola up or test yourself on the grouse grind. Bonus tip, making reservations at the Observatory Restaurant gets you up the gondola for free!
  • WildPlay - In Maple Ridge, this is a fun tree top adventure ropes course where you can climb and zipline your way throught a typical BC forest.

Thanks for taking the time to explore our list of recommended favourites. We encourage you to experience some of these standout spots during your visit to Vancouver. We'd be delighted to hear about your experiences and invite you to share your stories with us.
