Customer Spotlight: Life Spring Manufacturing

Our next customer spotlight is on Life Spring Manufacturing, a local manufacturing business who specialize in natural health products.

We caught up with Rania, Life Spring’s owner, to chat about their journey so far.

1) Tell me a little about Life Spring and what you stand for.

Life Spring Manufacturing is a family-owned business operating in North Vancouver, B.C., for over 30 years. Although we have been in business for a few decades, our company is backed by hundreds of years of ancient wisdom of medicinal plants. My father had his own herbal formulas, and his passion was to heal people with herbs. He even had a book filled with all of his herbal formulations that are 150 years old! This passion and knowledge have been carried down from generation to generation and made their way down to me.

At Life Spring, we offer full-service consulting and manufacturing services to develop premium quality private label natural health products. Our staff have the knowledge to consolidate the ancient wisdom of medicinal plants with today’s scientific methods to help clients develop their natural health product concepts into safe and effective brands. 

Our company’s purpose is to provide top-quality products that assist with the overall health of our society. Our products are tested by time, as the formulas are handed down from previous generations: we use the exact same ancient formulations. 

2) How did Life Spring manage through the pandemic?

We’re fortunate to be in a position where our business comes from word-of-mouth and repeat customers. Because we have loyal customers, we were able to pull through trying times like the pandemic. As I said, our family formulas go back generations. The formulas are true, tested, created with the finest ingredients, and, most importantly, made with lots of love.

I’d also say that Life Spring’s persistence and passion pulled us through. We’re proud to have become a trusted brand to many before and throughout the pandemic. We also have timeless products targeted to anyone and everyone, which has helped us tremendously as well.

I always tell others that the key to success is never giving up and being passionate about your every move. This is something that Life Spring strived for, even before the pandemic became our reality. 

3) What are you most proud of as a company?

I am lucky to have a lot to be proud of, but one thing that stands out to me is when Life Spring decided to create its own product line. We submitted all the documents and are ready to sell. In the manufacturing industry, it’s quite an achievement to successfully launch a product, so I’m proud that we were able to achieve that as a company! 

Second, to that, I’m proud of Life Spring’s resiliency. We have overcome challenges in the past, such as dealing with big brands and competition, but we always come out ahead. I’ve been graced with knowledge and intuition, especially when it comes to knowing when and how to adapt with the times. Life Spring continues to follow new trends and customer demands to stay ahead of the game! 

4) How would you describe your relationship with ALP?

I would describe our relationship with ALP as collaborative. We’re on the same team, especially when it comes to getting things done in a timely and efficient manner. It’s one of the many things I appreciate about ALP! We have been working together for several years, and the service we get from ALP is second to none. 

We recently purchased our second label machine, custom-built by Roy and his team, who goes above and beyond to make sure we have everything we need at all times. We can always count on John for technical support and training. 

ALP is on top of everything, and I really enjoy working with them. They genuinely care about the work they do and the people they work with. In addition, they have the best quality labels I have ever used!

5) What are you currently working on, and what are you excited about in the next few years?

I’m excited about a lot because I am forever creating countless concoctions! I am always working on completing custom formulations or staying busy with companies who come to me with their own formulations (i.e., shampoos, mouthwash, hemp seed oil). A core strength of Life Spring is our ability to partner with our clients and develop original formulas based on their needs.

I’ve also submitted a product for an NPN (Natural Product Number), and while it’s been in process for the past five years, I never give up. Professional persistence goes a long way in business and in life. Never, never, never give up!
