This year has been a full one! While we’re still not out of the woods with the pandemic, there has been progress a lot of this year, which has allowed some sense of normalcy for many of us. We were able to welcome staff back to our offices almost full-time, we’ve had some of our customers able to visit us safely, and we’re even looking to attend our first in-person trade show since early 2020 in January.
In addition to dealing with the pandemic, we've also had a lot of exciting updates this year:
Customer Spotlights
This summer, we started a new monthly series on our blog for customer spotlights! Each month, we interview one of our customers about their journey in business and exciting things they’re working on. This has been such a big highlight of our year, as we love being able to share our customer’s stories! If you haven’t seen them already, check them out here:
Customer Spotlight: Barefoot Venus
Customer Spotlight: Bosa Foods
Customer Spotlight: Dark Woods Brewing
Customer Spotlight: Grandpa J's Seasoning
Ontario Expansion
At the beginning of the year, ALP officially expanded into Ontario, with our new sales representative, Sam Fawal, representing us further East!
Sam has over ten years of experience in the packaging industry and a wealth of expertise in flexible packaging, specifically in lidding film or top seal. If you’re located on the East Coast and interested in learning more about these products or other flexible packaging solutions, check out our blog post for more information.
Sustainability Innovation
This year, our sustainability team made tons of progress with sustainable packaging innovations, published a sustainability section on our website, created an animated sustainability video, and even participated in speaking sessions with experts in our industry:
HowGood Innovation Series: The New Material Age in Packaging
Soapbox Series: Packaging Sustainably By Focusing Locally

Finally, we want to share a dedication to Rusty Ashworth, our founder, who passed away earlier this month. Rusty built this company with a great passion and dedication, and his spirit will forever be the foundation of Associated Labels and Packaging.
We’re so grateful to our team for their hard work this year and to our customers for their support. We hope everyone reading this is enjoying a safe and happy holiday season, and we wish you all the best for the year ahead!
Businesses across diverse industries choose Associated Labels & Packaging to expand their product lines.
