What does it mean to be sustainable?
The definition continues to expand and evolve (Triple Pundit) to be inclusive of everything from recyclable packaging to responsible business and supply chain practices (Triple Pundit). This is something we're passionate about at Associated Labels and Packaging. We understand the different areas of sustainability and strive to make any changes we can toward a positive environmental impact.
We're committed to offering environmentally-conscious alternatives for the following:
Our FSC-certified label stock can reduce our customer's environmental footprint while maintaining excellent printing quality.
In addition, we're focused on incorporating sustainability in the daily operations of our facilities. We've discovered first-hand how minor adjustments to our operations can increase our positive environmental impact. Measures such as replacing our white printed shipping boxes with brown corrugated boxes, installing high-efficiency hand dryers, banning Styrofoam cups on-site, eliminating individual garbage bins and installing centralized mixed paper, plastic and compostable bins instead have all made a significant difference.
Why does this matter to you?
Sustainability has gone from being a bonus to a requirement from consumers. Today, consumers are pushing for more sustainable products (We First Branding) and are more invested in what your brand stands for (Inc.), as opposed to just your product(s)/service(s). Companies who aren't working towards making a positive social and environmental impact (Inc.) are automatically at a disadvantage.
This starts with packaging. You can feel confident in your labels and/or packaging with one of our several environmentally-friendly labels and packaging solutions. We're constantly working to create sustainable products and to make better choices in everything we do. From small changes in our offices to replacing a 40-yard trash container with an internal recycling program, we're always striving to decrease our waste production and carbon footprint.
