City of Coquitlam Partnership Created for Communities in Bloom International Competition

February 7, 2017

Associated Labels and Packaging is proud to announce our partnership with the City of Coquitlam, Communities in Bloom Task Force. Our company participated in the 2016 National competition which the city won with flying colours. This year the city chose to compete in the 2017 International Communities in Bloom competition and has asked our company to help out with planning.

In 2016, the City approached our company to plant native plants in the final phase of the Como Creek restoration project adjacent to our building. After a company wide notice was put up, more than a dozen volunteers came out to join the planting crew. It just so happened that at the same time, our company was installing two bee hives, which for pollination, was perfect timing. In addition, our company showed off our newly developed Non-GMO, Backyard Compostable Stand-Up Pouch (the first of its kind in North America).

Our company is happy to increase our community involvement and once again invite the judges and public to come down and view our gardens and bee hives. We look forward to participating in this years competition for Canada’s 150th birthday!
