Reporting to the Production Shift Supervisor, the Quality Control Inspector is responsible for the highest standards of quality of all labels and flexible packaging produced in the flexo, flexible and digital production departments. The Quality Control Inspector works closely with the Shift Supervisor inspecting products at various stages, supervising production personnel, providing technical support to press operators, and solving quality-related problems.

Primary Responsibilities for the Quality Control Inspector:

  • Perform quality control checks prior to printing and pre-delivery inspection of finished products, and maintain quality records for print inspections performed
  • Inspect raw materials and approve incoming stock for use at printing presses
  • Prepare quality control benchmarks to ensure consistencies in printing
  • Document quality discrepancies and assist the Shift Supervisor with determining appropriate corrective actions
  • Provide technical assistance to production staff and other departments
  • Monitor compliance of all shift personnel and address non-conformance issues
  • Manage the daily operation of the Quality Assurance/Quality Control Laboratory
  • Complete Certificates of Conformity
  • Perform other related duties and tasks as required

Qualifications for the Quality Control Inspector:

  • 1-2 years of experience in manufacturing quality control
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to identify issues and implement creative and strategic solutions to overcome problems
  • Superb attention to detail
  • Certificate in Quality Management or other related education preferred
  • Experience in the printing industry preferred

Hours: Monday to Friday, 2:30pm – 10:30pm
