Summary: Reporting to the Sales Manager, the Marketing Specialist is responsible for strategizing, planning and implementing marketing activities in line with company objectives. In this evolving role, the Marketing Specialist will develop new marketing programs to improve our brand image, increase customer awareness, and strengthen our market share.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop strategic marketing plan aligned with company objectives, values and goals
  • Assess characteristics of products to be promoted and advise on the company’s promotional and communication needs
  • Conceptualize and implement promotional campaigns appropriate for print or electronic media
  • Manage the company brand image and corporate identity (internal and external)
  • Write informed, accurate and attention-grabbing content for the company website, social media accounts and blog
  • Regularly monitor and update the company’s social media accounts and website content
  • Implement SEO strategies to improve the company’s online presence
  • Conduct ongoing industry research and make marketing recommendations based on findings or opportunities discovered
  • Monitor, evaluate, and report on competitor activities; make recommendations based on findings or opportunities discovered
  • Set, monitor and track marketing and sales specific KPI’s based on marketing strategy
  • Act as the company’s public relations spokesperson
  • Prepare and deliver educational and publicity programs and informational materials to increase awareness
  • Manage marketing contracts
  • Perform other related duties and tasks as required

  • Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or equivalent
  • Minimum three years of related experience in a strategic level marketing role
  • Advanced computer proficiency in Apple/PC, including skills in Excel, Illustrator, and Photoshop
  • Excellent command of written English and copy accuracy
  • Strong understanding and familiarity with brand building and brand management
  • Experience in creating and executing successful digital and direct marketing programs
  • Experience producing marketing content for websites, social media and blogs
  • Strong understanding of social media marketing
  • Experience with WordPress and website management
  • Proficient understanding of SEO, Google Analytics Certified
  • Working knowledge of digital advertising KPI’s and reporting
  • High level of integrity and work ethic
  • Strong analytical and project management skills
